What We Design
Every arrangement is built from scratch each morning. We use premium seasonal stems and we don’t repeat designs. Each piece is hand-delivered across Durham and the surrounding Triangle by our own studio team — never DoorDash, never a wire-service handoff. To browse and order, visit Hidden Door Floral Studio.
Composed Arrangements
Our everyday work. Built around a color story and a mood, using what’s freshest that morning. Structured enough to feel intentional, loose enough to feel natural. Made for real rooms in real homes — the kind of design that looks settled on a kitchen counter in Old North Durham or on a long dining table in Cleveland-Holloway.
Garden Style
Generous, romantic, and layered. Roses, peonies, ranunculus, trailing greenery — composed into organic shapes that feel like a garden in full bloom. Popular for dinner parties and celebrations across the Bull City. We tend to weight these toward the seasonal stems coming in that week — peonies in May, dahlias all summer, hypericum and burgundy roses by September.
Orchids & Plants
Phalaenopsis orchids, succulent gardens, and tropical compositions for clients who want something lasting. A single phalaenopsis in the right light can hold bloom six to twelve weeks. Great for home offices, modern spaces, and Durham offices and lobbies where weekly cut-flower rotations don’t fit the budget or the building.
Statement Pieces
Large-format arrangements for occasions that call for visual impact. Standing two to three feet tall, designed on branch structure with the finest available stems — anchor blooms like peonies or dahlias, supporting work in lisianthus or stock, and finishing greens that hold the silhouette. Galas, milestone celebrations, and the kind of events where the flowers read from across the room.
Seasonal
Our work follows the calendar. Peonies in spring (a four-week window in May, then they’re gone). Dahlias through summer. Hypericum berries and rich tones in autumn. Evergreens with jewel tones in winter. Plus specialty pieces for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and the holidays. Clients who want this rhythm without thinking about ordering each week move into a weekly or biweekly subscription.
